Cyber Security with NORD Drivesystems

The digital world must protect itself.

NORD Drivesystems sets high standards for the quality and sustainability of our products and services. With the increasing digitalisation and networking of industrial factories, security requirements are coming into the focus. As part of the automation solution, frequency inverters are a key component that plays a particularly important role in terms of cyber security.

In response to these issues, the European Union has enacted the Cyber Resilience Act, which sets out requirements for the robustness of digital products and components against cyber-attacks and manipulation. Measures to ensure integrity and availability, as well as measures for access control, authentication and system hardening, are described in the IEC 62443.

NORD Drivesystems implements a range of measures and adheres to recognised standards and specifications in order to provide products that are ideally suited to the cyber security strategy for our customers’ machinery and plant. To help our customers fulfil their responsibilities, NORD offers support in addressing any vulnerabilities that are discovered.

Reports

NORD frequency inverters are subject to continuous quality monitoring. You can help us to optimise the cyber security of our products in the long term by reporting security vulnerabilities.

Please use the following contact form to submit reports to the NORD CRA team.

Security Advisories

NORD Drivesystems continuously analyses products for potential vulnerabilities and assesses reports of security vulnerabilities. We then determine the necessary measures to be taken. Where vulnerabilities are confirmed, NORD publishes security notices in the form of Security Advisories and, where the situation requires it, issues updates on product-specific measures.

You can find an overview of the security notices here.
